Ivan Liu is an illustrator and graphic designer currently works based in Edinburgh. Her works focus on research of Chinese folk culture and nature themes while also addressing social issues based on the topics. She works across wide range of mediums, with particular affinity for water medias for drawing and painting, as well as 3D materials and ceramics.
Ivan's artistic motivation is centered around desire to “make life more interesting”; by introducing a sense of ritual sensitivity into standard lifestyle, create works that capture the imagination and inspire others to see the living environment in a new way. Hopes to bring a greater appreciation for the beauty of the natural world and the cultural heritage that makes us who we are, through the art works.
